Hannah Mumbi Ngigi is a determined Form 2 student at Ndumberi Girls’ Secondary School. Despite coming from a #financially struggling family, Hannah has big dreams of becoming a doctor and helping not only her family but also others in similar situations. With the help of her primary school headteacher, Hannah managed to secure a place in Ndumberi Girls’ School, where she has been working hard to achieve her academic goals.

However, financial constraints have continued to be a hurdle for Hannah, and she has been sent home on several occasions due to lack of school fees. Fortunately, her situation took a turn for the better when an alumna of Ndumberi Girls’ School, Magdalene Mbugua, won the third edition of the #Alumni Golf Challenge. Magdalene’s victory did not only earn her recognition and prizes but also provided an #opportunity to give back to her former school by donating a bursary to a deserving student like Hannah.

The Alumni Golf Challenge is an excellent initiative that brings together alumni from different schools to raise funds for their alma maters.
